England A-Level Maths AQA Paper 2 Practice Papers

20 original practice papers for A-level students in England preparing for AQA Mathematics (7357) Paper 2. Each paper is a 100-mark, 2-hour pure mathematics and mechanics paper (Section A pure, Section B mechanics) in the AQA 7357 Paper 2 layout, calculator allowed, set harder than the real exam, with a TPH mark scheme and formulae page, with a full worked solution for every question.

These are original TPH practice papers modelled on the AQA A-level Mathematics (7357) specification and its paper format. They are not AQA papers and every question is original. Each practice paper is one complete 100-mark, 2-hour paper (calculator allowed) with a full set of worked solutions and TPH's own mark scheme, and is set deliberately harder than the real exam, so a lower mark than on the real paper is normal. The practice paper number is the set number: every one of the 20 is a separate, full exam paper. No AQA formulae booklet is included; a TPH formulae page is provided at the back of each paper, so have your own copy of the AQA booklet if you want exam conditions. Paper 2 follows the pure and mechanics layout: Section A is pure mathematics (50 marks, including vectors) and Section B is mechanics (50 marks), covering kinematics, forces and Newton's laws, moments and modelling.

Plan your practice

All 20 papers use different questions, so every paper you add is new practice, not a repeat. After each paper, mark it with the worked solutions, note the topics that cost you marks, then use the next paper to check you have fixed them.

Questions about these papers

Are these official past exam papers?

No, and that is deliberate. Official past papers are copyrighted, limited in quantity and often out of date with current syllabus specifications. Test Papers Hub produces original practice papers written from scratch to mirror real exam structures, question styles, time limits and difficulty. You get fresh, unseen practice that behaves like the real test.

Which exams do you cover?

NSW Selective and Opportunity Class (OC) tests, Year 2 to 4 English and Maths, EduTest and HAST entry tests, NSW HSC, VCE (Victoria), QCE (Queensland), AMEB Music Theory (Grades 2 to 5), UCAT ANZ, Digital SAT, ACT, AP, GCSE Maths and CFA Levels I and II. We add exams over time. If you do not see yours, tell us and we will prioritise it.

What makes your worked solutions different?

Most answer keys give a letter (for example "Answer: C") or dense working written for teachers. Every question in our papers comes with a numbered, line-by-line solution in plain language, an explanation of why each wrong option fails, and a one-line key takeaway. Wherever a diagram, graph or structural formula speeds up learning, we include one. Students can self-correct and learn independently.

How difficult are your papers compared to the real test?

We aim for papers at least as demanding as the real test, including the harder questions that separate top candidates, and we check each paper against the published format and syllabus. A strong result on our papers is a useful sign of readiness, but no practice paper can predict an exam result, and real exams vary from year to year.
